Session #: 718-220
Presenter(s): Jean Houston
Session Length: 2 hr. 00 min. Event: 2008 Networker Annual Symposium Date: March 13-16, 2008
We're living at a time of unprecedented change and tumult, marked by a colossal breakdown in the traditional social order and requiring from therapists a different set of skills than they learned when they were trained. What do therapists need to know and how can they prepare to help clients (and themselves) meet the radical challenges to the way we think, work, and experience relationships in today's world? In this workshop, we'll use guided imagery, movement, and group exercises to expand and intensify your repertoire of clinical skills and strategies. You'll learn ways of helping your clients, strengthen their capacity for change, find a sense of inner repose and resilience, and expand their notion of human love and relationship as we explore human resources more central to our survival as a species than ever before. (This session continues with Workshop 320.)
