The explosion in knowledge about neuroscience and its potential uses in the treatment room has generated renewed clinical interest in using trance states in therapy. Hypnosis and neurofeedback training provide powerful tools for helping clients deal with anxiety, phobias, trauma, and couples conflict. In this workshop, you'll learn about specific techniques for accessing the "field of the mind" through alpha and theta brainwave states, allowing clients to explore deeper, unsuspected levels of consciousness and inner resources. You'll explore hypnotic induction and self-hypnotic procedures that help control reactivity, and learn how theta brainwaves--those on the edge of sleep--give clients access to vivid archetypal images and 3-D symbols, deepening their capacity for personal insight. As you learn about and explore these meditative states, you'll find out more about your own capacity for greater self-control and wisdom.
