Western therapy is a talk-dominated practice that can sometimes result in repetitive, overly analytical chatter. In this workshop, a Chinese Qigong master and a Western psychotherapist, who also teaches Qigong, will show you how to incorporate into your practice some principles from this ancient Taoist tradition, which will help you find a sense of calm, openhearted receptivity and wordless connection with even the most difficult clients. Through the use of breathing techniques and healing imagery, you'll be able to cultivate a contagious sense of loving-presence in sessions, which shifts the entire atmosphere of the therapy room and communicates your support and regard to clients, helping them experience an inner softening and deepened awareness of their own feelings and a greater desire to be connected with the world around them. (This session will continue with Workshop 324.)
