Researchers now know that marital satisfaction declines dramatically after the birth of the first child. Mothers are sleep deprived, their sensuality often focuses on the baby, sex heads for the back burner, and husbands feel blindsided. It's a crisis nobody prepares couples for, and some relationships never recover. This workshop will teach you how to help couples predict and negotiate this tricky familial shift with abandoning eroticism. You'll learn how to challenge the American cultural stereotype of desexualized motherhood and help couples create a time and space for sex despite the presence of children. You'll leaving knowing how to help couples find ways to plan sex without killing playfulness and spontaneity and reconfigure eroticism within the new form of family life.
