610 PART 2 As therapists, we're entrusted with the care of our patients--as parents, we're entrusted with the care of our children. When these two profoundly important endeavors overlap, unique pitfalls appear, but unique opportunities emerge as well. In this workshop, we'll explore parenthood not only as a battle to win or a task to complete, but as a lifelong process that holds healing and redemptive power. We'll also look at our relationship with both our children and our parents as a chance to transform, rather than transfer, our narcissism. Through discussion and experiential exercises, we'll discover new ways to balance our parental and therapeutic instincts and energies, and to allow our home life and work life to amplify and dignify each other.
