608 PART 1 Leadership training programs have long taught the skills that are presumably essential to heading groups and organizations. But how can we lead others before we learn how to take care of ourselves? This workshop is based on the belief that leadership isn't a set of external skills, but rather depends on our ability to access qualities we inherently possess, such as compassion, clarity, connectedness, and courage. Drawing on his internal family systems model, the presenter will demonstrate how we can learn to get out of our own way, so that these qualities manifest more fully in our inner and outer lives. Participants will learn how to bring more self-leadership to their own inner lives, their families, work groups, and beyond.
