619 As research accumulates about the importance of mind-body practices in maintaining physical and mental health, more and more therapists want to incorporate these approaches into their practices, and also find out how to lead mind-body groups themselves. This experiential, all-day workshop, based on the holistic model developed by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine, will present a package of skills, including mindfulness training, guided imagery, self-expression, biofeedback, dancing, and writing, that can be integrated into any therapy practice in a highly organized way. These approaches, drawn from Eastern philosophy and Western medicine, can be applied in helping clients with cancer, cardiovascular disease, anxiety disorders, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Through experiential exercises, participants will also learn how to bring these elements into their own lives.
