Playback session - audio sample As clinicians, we often feel helpless in the face of a client's profound loss and extreme suffering. What can we say and how can we help them "move on" when we can see that they're inconsolable and obsessed with their sorrow--even months and years afterward? In this workshop, we'll examine the nature of grief, both "normal" and "complicated." We'll look at how to treat the more challenging cases and how grief can evolve over time. You'll learn specific clinical tools and techniques based on the Transcending Loss model and filtered through a lens of Eastern spirituality that provide healing on physical, psychological, and spiritual levels, even many years after a loss.
