601 The landscape of therapy is now transformed and, with brain imaging and other new technologies, we're able to see how the new, more comprehensive "black box" operates. But this crucial knowledge isn't part of therapists' standard training. This workshop is your chance to spend a day getting a much more solid foundation regarding how the brain operates and how change happens in the brain and in the therapist's office. You'll learn about important distinctions between different kinds of anxiety, depression, and other common diagnoses determined by what's happening in the brain. You'll also gain a better understanding of what drugs do and don't do, as well as a command of sharper diagnostic questions to use with your clients. You'll leave with a much more organized framework of practice for matching your interventions with your clients' brain activities and a new vision for the future of your practice.
