618 Many therapists looking for new career challenges and sources of income are turning to organizational and corporate consulting. In this all-day session, a therapist who's made the shift from private practice to consulting will discuss the practical issues of making that transition. We'll examine the differences between the therapy and consulting relationship and provide how-to's on translating therapy's feeling-oriented language into the more cognitive, practical language of the corporate world. We'll explore the skills common to both settings, as well as the new skills you'll need to understand the business world, including contracts, sales, and marketing, and the unique challenges of entrepreneurship. We'll also look at the particular issues women face in marketing themselves in the corporate world.
