611 Many of us entered the therapy field in the '70s and '80s believing that psychology held all the answers to life's dilemmas. But after years of practice, there are those of us who've come to recognize the strengths and limitations of a purely psychological paradigm. As a group of veteran therapists sharing our experiences, we'll reflect on what hasn't worked for us, what we'd do if we were totally free to do what we thought would work, and what we'd tell therapists entering the field today. We'll then examine the psychological, philosophical, and spiritual issues involved in moving beyond the paradigms in which we originally trained. We'll use tools from Taoist philosophy to help guide our reflections.
