It's an old story—the more years couples spend in a companionate relationship, the less likely they are to experience the erotic excitement that first fired up romantic love, and the greater the probability that their sexual energy will be redirected to sources outside the relationship—affairs, Internet porn, or isolated fantasy. In this workshop, we'll explore ways of teaching couples how to revive sexual passion and intimacy by engaging in an empathic dialogue that gives them the language to talk about sexual fantasies and desires in nonthreatening, mutually reaffirming ways. You'll learn specific techniques for helping partners, together and separately, work through the unconscious anxieties and phobias that usually stand in the way of honest, fearless communication about sex. You'll also learn some of the latest research about male and female sexual physiology, and how this knowledge can be used to heighten sexual excitement and pleasure.
