Emotional isolation probably afflicts more people in 21st-century American society than ever before in human history. Often people remain prisoners of their own loneliness because of self-limiting beliefs that prevent them from achieving the kind of satisfying relationships they yearn for. In this experiential workshop, we'll explore Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a unique form of "psychological acupuncture" that uses the ancient Chinese meridian system to relieve psychological stress and physiological pain. The presenter will lead you through concrete EFT exercises and protocols to help you and your clients identify, release, and work through emotional blocks that stand in the way of being more authentically connected to the self and others. By the end of the workshop, you'll be able to identify three or more previously unexamined self-limiting beliefs that have hampered your capacity for deep emotional connection, design two specific treatment protocols for collapsing these limiting beliefs, and integrate these techniques into your own clinical work.
