What is PlaybackNow?
PlaybackNow is the market leader in producing media formats of conference session recordings. This website was created to make these recordings easy to find and purchase for anyone associated with a trade association and their conference sessions.

If these recordings are "live" recordings, how does that affect the quality?
PlaybackNow uses the highest quality recording and duplicating equipment, producing the best quality of "live" recordings possible. Because these recordings are "live", they will contain some background noise, such as shuffling papers, but any major distractions will be edited before they are posted on their website.

Can I be notified of specials on your products?
Yes. You are automatically included to receive notifications of specials on our products by email. If you prefer not to receive these emails go to your account profile and check the appropriate box to indicate that you would NOT like to receive notifications of specials on our products.

How soon after a session can I purchase a recording?
Because they are "live" recordings, many of the recordings will be available for purchase at a seminar workshop after the session. After the conference, you can also find them on the website.

How do I place an order for a recording online?
Search for a product by topic or track on the left side of the screen. To search for a specific presenter or keyword, use the search function on the top right. When you find the product, click on the shopping cart next to the desired media format. After you have selected all of your items, click Checkout on your Shopping Cart and follow the instructions provided to checkout.

Who does PlaybackNow use to ship their products, and what are the shipping policies?
PlaybackNow uses UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS to ship their products. Delivery times and guarantees vary, depending on which shipment method you choose. You will be provided with the option of Priority (2-3 business days) or Regular (1-2 weeks) shipping. Standard company shipping policies will apply.

Do you guarantee your products? If so, what is your return policy?
If you are not satisfied with your purchase of a product, please call 1-800-241-7785 for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) request within 30 calendar days of the receipt of the product. All products must be returned in new condition including any manuals that shipped with the product.

Please note that Playback Now does not permit the return of or offer refunds for the following products:

Product that is custom configured to your specifications, custom MP3 or Audiobook CDs

Devices such as iPods or memory sticks

Download/MP3/iPod Audiobook:


I am using a Mac computer and am unable to download. What do I do?
If you are using Safari web browser on a Mac computer, due to security issues, you may be unable to download. In this case you will need to try using Mozilla Firefox 2.0 instead, which can be downloaded for free here. Then login to your iPlayback account using the Firefox web browser. When you get to the download screen, do one of the following:
Option 1: Hold the “Apple” button down and while still holding double click on the download link. This should bring up a new window titled "Downloads" which shows the progress of your file being downloaded.
Option 2: Hold down the “Control” key and single click on the download link. This should bring up a menu and from there you should select “Save link as”. This should popup a window in which allows you to name the file (the extension should be .m4b), choose where to download it to, and choose the format (AAC audiobook). Select “Save” and then this should bring up a new window titled "Downloads" which shows the progress of your file being downloaded.
